Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 1:45 am)
Welcome to Poser! You'll have this problem with most characters and there's not much you can do to fix it. You can go the Edit/Restore/Element and that should put the arm back into it's default position and then try again but odds are you'll have the same problem. Sooo...once you're sure that you can't do any better, play with lights and clothingn to try and hide it. Finally, touch it up in POst with a programlike Photoshop. The only character that I've found that is simply outstanding at not having this problem is Daz's new Vicky 3. I've bent her up pretty good and she is amazing. FYI.

The Millennium figures have much better joints. The link is to the picture at DAZ's Victoria 1.0 page, showing Vicky's improvements over P4. Victoria 3.0 is another step up--not only do her denser mesh and more advanced joint setup make her move better to begin with, but she has joint-controlled morphs built in for added realism.Attached Link: http://www.juno.dti.ne.jp/~yamato-k/OtherTool.html
A long time ago Yamato solved this problem even with the P3 female figure - that was Mimi. Since then, all his characters have had the best joints. Unfortunately, they had problems with clothing but when the figure is dressed you don't really see too much bending. Now, he's come up with some very useful pose files to remove the new JP's from his figures so they can wear regular P4 clothing. You'll find at the link the file with the new JP pose, also split for just upper and lower body so you can dress Posette and if is she's not wearing long sleeved clothes, use the upper pose and have nice smooth elbows, and a pose to go back to default JP's. Also for anyone who doesn't know, have a look through the site http://www.juno.dti.ne.jp/~yamato-k/ and don't be daunted by the Japanese, just use a translator! Some of his characters are still available at Masa's Poser ++ http://www.eurus.dti.ne.jp/%7Emasasi/ Combining these with Staale's Body Morpher and most of Traveler's P4 morphs, has given me a 57MB SuperPosette that can do almost anything! This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
