Serpentis, same here, I didn't have a clue about focal length (or anyhing else for that matter ;) when I first started with Poser. Don't even want to look at my early images anymore (also, I hadn't realized you could turn IK off and not get the characters legs in such a mess ... or that you could conform clothes - I tried to manually pose them on the character at first which was a bit hard :D )
