I thought the name was familiar. I guess this was what Mongo was referring to? Lon Chaney: A Thousand Faces

Alas, that was not to be. Before the filming of 'The Unholy Three' was completed, Chaney discovered he had lung cancer, and seven weeks after the movie's premiere, he was dead."
