Interesting. Maybe it's not a matter of discipline, though. Maybe your Poser characters are not really the same people as the written ones, and thus their lives necessarily run on a different course. More generally, I don't see much difference between my thinking about a human, my teddy bear, or Renderosibee. In each case I apply an invented personality to the external creature and treat it as alive. The only difference is that the human can surprise me (positively or negatively) by failing to match my invention.
