Cats are precious creatures and I know that they keep their distance unless they actually feel like getting close to you but that's what makes them such good company. My cat Willie, who died last year, always knew when I was down and would treat me well at those times, ie. extra special cuddles etc. I miss him terribly and although I would love another cat I feel it is too early to go looking for one, if I got another cat now I feel like it would be a betrayal of him, but maybe sometime soon.
