Catlin: Sorry about your loss, I don't know how old you are and would never be so rude as to ask , but at 49, I have found that the best way to recover from the loss of a pet is to find a new one as soon as possible. I don't think your precious Willie would feel betrayed. He enjoyed the love you obviously had for him, and love cannot be diminished by sharing it with more than one, only multiplied. Those with two children do not give half their love to each, but all their love to both. And somewhere, a kitten waits for your love. Be well.
