tjohn, all my pets are "throwaways", from the pound, the last kitten or puppy in the box at the grocery store, people have actually tied animals to my porch railing, yup, 9 cats, two dogs, 4 bunies at present... Catlin, I'm sorry for your loss, I know the pain...but tjohn's right about finding a kitten immediately, here they get 3 days and if they aren't claimed by someone within that time they are killed. My oldest of 18 yrs passed away this past August, he was one of a litter who's time was up, I was upset that I couldn't take them all...I took six kittens from different litters that day, but if I could have, I would have taken them all. Animals even follow me home...a stray cat dumped three litters with me last year, I delivered them all and the ones I kept are just like dogs, they need to be with me at all times and are super affectionate...
