As mentioned, I'm doing this pro bono, in part because I'm friends with a couple of the partners and also because I thought it would be entertaining, for myself and maybe a few other like-minded folks, from a purely creative point of view. Occaisonally it's a hoot just to tackle a design/illustration project with no deadlines, no restrictions or creative limitations, no boss, no hassles and no greenbacks changing hands. Also, I guess I wasn't communicating too effectively (my bad), but this is not a PC or console game; it's a live action, real-world combat simulation.

I hate to be redundant, but the last sentence is "...just to stress the point, this IS NOT a paying project, but if you were thinking about doing some military/industrial renders anyway..."

Lot's of people here at Renderosity do this just as a source of amusement. I just figured, "what the hell, you might get a nice-looking published piece for your portfolio, if you have one, and you may someday get a few bucks out of it."
