Brace yourself, this is a total break from my normal fantasy/sci-fi routine (I needed it!) This isn't textured yet, but I think the rest is done. I'll probably make some hot dog, buns, tongs, and a few other small props to go with it. Haven't decided what all details to add. The main body of the thing will have a quilted chrome insulated type bump just like the real thing, BTW. This is really, really articulated. The cart, cart top, and parasol parts are each seperate figures parented together. The shelves, side counters, condiment cups, steam table tubs, steam table lids, divider, and, yes, even the steam table divider thingy (the thing that goes between two steam table trays, so you can rearrange the tubs) are all props smart-propped onto the sub-figures. All the wheels rotate, and the castor wheels' brakes also move with hard limits. The castor base also rotates on the Y axis, so this is really, really realistically posable. The fridge doors on the top also open with set hard limits. And get this -- theres a little lifter grip (you can't see in this render) up inside the parasol, at the base of the vanes. No, the vanes aren't technically posable as such, but the vanes and parasol awning both have close MTs, tied together with a hidden FBM controlled through the trans of the lifter grip. In other words, the parasol works just like a real parasol. You grab the lifter and turn down the Up-Down dial, and the parasol folds up, vanes and all, so you can close up shop! Strange, I never thought it would be much fun to make something real, but I was wrong! I'm enjoying this piece a lot!
