"Sneeuwklokje" does not damage the vocal chords when it is pronounced correctly. And since I always find it interesting to know how you pronounce words from other languages I thought I'd tell how it's pronounced. In case anyone is interested in it. Here's how to pronounce "sneeuwklokje": -"snee" is pronounced as "sna" like in "snake". -"uw" is pronounced as "w" like in "wet". -"klok" is pronounced as "clock". -"je" is pronounced as "yuh". The syllables of "sneeuwklokje" are sneeuw-klok-je.
