Boy, you can get a 60GB 7200RPM drive for less than $100 (as low as $80) or a WD 120GB 7200RPM w/8MB cache for as low as $155. The Western Digitals with 8MB cache are rockin'! I'd avoid partitioning drives. It's useless these days unless you're forced to use only one drive, even then it's only good for organization or multiboot - no other benefits whatsoever. I haven't partitioned a drive in four years or more. When you get the new drive, keep XP Pro on the 30GB, but as one partition, and use the other for data. I'd also consider getting some more memory. A 256MB stick will help a little. 512MB would help alot. 256MB PC133 costs a measely $25 to $50, depending upon the manufacturer and dealer. $50 to $80 for 256MB DDR memory (if that's what your motherboard uses instead). Your cpu is fine. Should be good for at least another year. For less than $150 you can resolve all of your issues. I'd strongly recommend considering it, especially if you intend on doing anything useful with Poser or decide to use more highend 3D applications. V3 will suck your current resources like a vampire... HTH

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.
