Ah, gee, Rosemaryr, you beat me to it! For what it's worth his name is spelled Quetzalcoatl. By the time of the Conquest he was usually depicted as having rainbow-colored feathers along the entire serpentine body. However, he was appropriated by the Triple Alliance Aztecs, and was depicted in various ways by several Mexican cultures prior to their empire. If I recall correctly he was originally an actual (Mayan?) man, an honored warrior who became the plumed serpent god in legend and religion after his death. Anyway, he'd make a spectacular model. It would also be nice to see more Asian dragons.
