hmm...Corel, wasn't it? I'd have to say the future of Bryce is not too bright. Being a longtime user of Photopaint, I think I know Corel pretty well. First off, no matter what they might want you to think, Corel is NOT a Mac company. 2. Corel is not a 3D software company. You only have to look at how they failed with their version of Raydream (Coreldream) to see that. 3. Corel is not an innovator. They have a history of buying other people's software then offering update after update that does little to improve the product. 4. Corel is spread in too many directions to give Bryce the attention it needs. Can you say, "Word Perfect"? 5. Corel is in sad shape money-wise. When you're low on cash, the first thing to go is R&D. I think you're looking at the present version of Bryce as being pretty much it for Mac or PC. - SMT

BTW, Re: Patrick Steward and the X-Men film. It's Professor X. I'm sure he's got doctorates though ;).

There is no Mac software of note that I do not have. The strongest single program for Mac 3D is still ElectricImage 2.9, but there is a more "magical" program, and I'm not sure why. I'm talking about Bryce. Bryce is to 3D what Marvel Comics used to be to fantasy illustration, what Star Trek is to sci-fi. When I heard that Patrick Stuart was going to play Dr.X in the new X-men movie, I thought of Bryce. Legions of Bryce freaks were waiting patiently for Poser characters to become animatable within Bryce. Now that these former Metacreations programs have been purchased by different companies, integration may never happen. This is a very sad prospect. Is there anyone who can help us? Please don't piss on this thread by touting Poser integration with some other program. Bryce is unique and you know it. -Gear
