Runtime DNA has a version of a crown of thorns in freestuff...you need to dig through but you'll find it by the thumbnail...its smart propped to Victoria 2 but it can easily be adjusted for any figure by moving the x,y,z on it. Use a different 'woodsy' texture...and that should do well.
