I would prefer something more apropriate that your typical pinup-model or flip hair...

This hair just does not do her justice.

Actually I like that hair! Where is it from? Eric J

That's the DAZ gel cut. It's good hair, but I was looking for something a little more "natural"...

Try looking at Studio Maya or Digital Babes, there's some splendid hair there

Sway! Check out RDNA. They have a new clothing pak for V3 that includes some awsome looking cornrow hair.

I don't know if that can be the style you need but the newest hair Traveler has released is great. Tons of morphs and textures and cool presets available for free. It is very versatile and also inexpensive. Bye! Siliphiel

A few more clues about what you were looking for wouldn't go amiss... :-)

Check out Vairesh's hair, I think the Lulu style would look good on her.

you could also post work the hair in photoshop or somethin similar. Then you would have complete control over the hair ... just a thought

I'm going to be doing a tutorial, maybe next week, on using Eyecandy's Fur to redo the Gel cut for guys and gals. I'll post here when it's up. Emily

Thanks all. I really meant "natural" as in something this character might have been born with, rather than "natural" as in it look like real hair that originally belonged to someone else's head. Ideally, it would be the shape of the DAZ flattop but with an afro texture. I could actully use several different afro styles. For this type of character I prefer natural looking hair that has been cut or shaped, as opposed to straightened hair or elaborate architectural hair-do's.

Gorodin,

I've used the DAZ Flat Top very successfully on African American Characters - especially women.

Here's Shari in the Flat Top

Where did you get that texture??

3ddave44 ( ) posted Thu, 16 January 2003 at 2:06 PM

That's Eowyn's Shari texture. I don't know if it was a first version or not but it was free. I've since seen a "Shari" package from Eowyn (I think Shari 2.0) that isn't free. If the free one is still available, I think I got it here at Ren. Dave

Try UD Short Curls Hair at DAZ It's a "Mike" product with a Vicky fit morph dial and several other styling dials. Hair color is set by Object and Ambient colors so it's quite flexible. I highly recommend it. -Nancy.
