No, nothing in freestuff or marketplace. Need something historic , say, the spartans!

Greg Crowfoot has a helmet in .dxf format at GreyLight.
Graziano Perduccizzi has a helmet in .3ds format (with textures) here.
Volkmar has a helmet in .dxf format at Lannie's 3D Model World.
You are a freak, Little Dragon. (I am in awe of your freakiness for remembering model locations)

AND there's a site out there somewhere (LD, save me here!) that has a full Greek warrior along with all props and a set of poses. I came across the figure last night in my archives, but there was no read-me in the folder. If I remember right, the same site has an Indian maiden: same thing -- full outfit, set of poses and props. Is this ringing a bell for anyone?
I agree, it sounds like PoserStyle. Cacheforce has some additional historical figures for sale, but they have about the same detail level as Poser 3 characters.
gstorme, Sometimes the later commercial versions are much improved, though. For example, I stumbled over a zipped file called Golden Gown in my archives, but knew that I'd not purchased it from PhilC or the Marketplace. So, I installed it to check it out and, yes, it was Phil's dress, but a basic version without the morphs or fancy textures. I queried him, and it had indeed been a freestuff item a couple of years ago. After it had been morphed, regrouped, remapped, and had a half-dozen very fancy gold and velvet textures added, it was certainly a candidate for a commercial package. I can understand a modeler offering a freebie while learning a new tool or process, or while in development of a theme (such as carousel animals) or in order to test interest, to offer something seasonal, or just out of human generosity. When the item is of high quality, we should just pounce and be glad. Carolly

Where can I find a Greek helmet and shield?
