Patricia, see if you can find a cheap (or better yet, free) renaming utility. I use Flash Renamer and it is a godsend. Allows me to add the character name to all the files in a MAT folder in one batch. Saves me tons of time and effort. Combine that with Correct Reference and I spend much less time moving things and editing files than I used to when I install something new. Kate (who also hates the special character deal but hates the .obj in the library file instead of geometries even more)
