I'll go ahead and contact David. All that you said is on the bullseye. I'll get in touch with my buddy, see about getting 274 meshes batch rendered, lol. That's actually/probably the easiest way. Defintely the fastest! Ask him about what would be the best all around format to go with. I assume it would be .3ds, .dxf, they are the smallest in Kb.
