I'm using 21" Sony Trinitron flat screen at 1280x1024. It is recommended that your final image should be rendered twice the intended viewing image size for best results and not at 72dpi. It should be at least at 99dpi, so if your final viewing image is intended to be 800x600, your final render should be 1600x1200 at 99dpi - 150dpi and saved in some format other than "jpg". Use "bmp","tiff", "tga" or "pict". You can resample your final image to the desired resolution and exported as "jpg" for web viewing. But your original final render will be in pristine resolution (who knows, you may want to give away prints!). Just a tip Ive picked up and offering to share.
