THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Perhaps a Tribute Challenge is in order...in memory of "All" our fallen Heroes

Just a suggestion...

I kinda like this idea...I was gonna say something earlier but wasn't sure if I should yet or not. When you say all, do you mean all from the past or from the shuttle accident? I felt compelled to do something as a tribute but wasn't sure what others may have thought yet. Ideas? MadDog31

I am already working on an image right now don't know if will be good enough to be a tribute.

Sounds like a good suggestion but I believe that the winner of the monthly challenge wins the rights to offer the following months challenge. But there's nothing to keep you from displaying your own tribute if you cared to do so. Just my thoughts.

I do NOT think a challenge is in order on this subject. Of course, if members wish to express their feelings through the medium of 3D Art then that is right and proper. We saw the same thing after 9/11 and many works reflected our emotions more than words can say, but a challenge? No way!

It's not something I wanted to really see in a challenge...but I thought maybe it would be cool to see individual tributes on it if they want to. I wasn't necessarily agreeing with the challenge because something of this nature shouldn't be a 'contest' of sorts. I think Robnobs may have meant his message in the way we're seeing it. MadDog31

Perhaps 'collection' instead of challenge? If AgentSmith is willing, I'd like to see all the tributes put together on one page the way the monthly challenges are organized. Maybe people would like to pay tribute to heroes who aren't necessarily the Columbia astronauts. Lin

Collection of Tributes is probably a better word.

I like the concept of a tribute, and would suggest that maybe we present them somehow to the families who lost their loved ones? I don't quite know how to go through with that, but maybe NASA could help us in that regard. Just a thought for you and your superiors to ponder AS.

Don't want to seem like I'm against the idea, because I'm not... but I thought I'd make sure that everyone who read this knows that there is alread a Memorial Gallery here at Renderosity.

Thanks for clueing us in FWTempest. Perhaps we could at least let NASA be aware of our tributes. Lin

I also would like to pay tribute to the men and women who have given their lives in the advancement of science. I believe our future is out there amongst the stars and without the courage of these astronauts no progress would be made in that direction. So I think this is a very good idea and as many people as possible should get involved and we should tell NASA of this when we have images in place. Catlin
