Carrara can do some pretty cool smoke stuff with the sphere option now. I still can't get those darned three colored boxes to do magic tricks for me though. This is the death roll of the U.S.S. Hathor. -Kix

Do I smell another tutorial on the way? :)

I can do a tutorial on this but it may be a few weeks. I'm working on a ton of other stuff at the moment. -Kix

They named a spaceship after a love-goddess? Man, that must be some swinging crew! Smoke looks pretty good, but it's small. Does it look good at 720X480?

This smoke effect looks great. I have been looking for a good Particle smoke tutorial. Have you tried to map an actual smoke .AVI or .MOV file on the sphere particle yet?

It does look pretty good at 720X480. Having the spheres for particles makes a BIG difference. You also have to crank the bluf FULL up otherwise, your smoke is full of little spherical beebees that you can see. I haven't tried mapping a movie to the particles yet. Having two particle generators running with two slightly different colors could be cool. -Kix
