Depending on the situation, you could even have a 1 week discussion period prior to a policy change, then give two weeks notice when the decision is made. Regardless, I haven't seen a lot of policy changes here that couldn't have waited two weeks for implementation once they were announced. Obviously the PTB would have the right, as owners of the site, to make exceptions both in duration and in what gets discussed. However, if most of the time this two-week period is used, I'm sure we can reduce some of the "hate & discontent" that I've seen here.
