I once had a problem similar to yours. I got an answer by the great Nerd himself. Here it is below, but I'm not sure wether it can help you : "The trick is called "Circular IK" the chain is an Inverse Kinematics chain (IK) I think it was Anthony Appleyard who first figured out this trick. It is fairly simple. When a figure has an IK chain the last object in the chain can be parented to any object in the scene. Just turn on the IK chain, select the last object in the chain, click Object>Change Parent and pick the other object.." Hope this helps. Compiler
