Thanx for all your comments and responses. I'll fiddle with the specularity. Maybe I can get it to look like it's a stone model wrapped in a shiney plastic hull? that would be cool. It should be easy to do with a layer with only a soft diffusion light and no bumps. catlin_mc: you got it exactly right. Without the specularity he would just look kind of dull. pauljs75: It's Ted Russel from "Time squad" (as it's know in my country). I haven't found a larry 3000 model yet maybe it's in the proton collection? I'l check to see. Ornlu: There is a slight amount of postwork involved, but basiccally most of the work on the layers is pure bryce. It IS bryce that's the basic reason of this scene looking so good. The only thing I miss in bryce textures is the ability to layer them and give each layer different modes like screen, multiply and dodge. So that's what I used postwork for. I hope corel implements such a feature in Bryce 6. That would make the TE really powerfull.
