OK, I've experienced this problem, and believe it only happens if you're on a network, and the printer is networked. Basically, Poser "polls" the network to find the printer. If the printer is not found, then Poser won't load. You get no error message. The weird thing is that the printer does not need to be on!!! Believe me on this one. I've previously had extensive communications with Curious Labs (makers of Poser) on this issue. My solution is easy: The printer is on my wife's computer. Her computer remains on, while I use my computer. The printer remains off unless I need it. You might not know this problem affects many other software titles. Daytimer 98 (Contact Manager) I probably forgot a few titles, but you get the idea.
