As long as it is policed to stop it from being swamped by images which are slightly sci-fi but mostly in for sex appeal. Some people like sexy stuff, but to some others sexy stuff is irrelevant clutter to have to wade through. Another useful gallery would be for "Action", i.e. army and police type action in a realistic non-sci-fi context, again so that fans of such images don't have to wade through reams of sexy stuff. It should be possible to classify an image under a genre gallery AND ALSO under a software gallery, e.g. with a Star Trek image that was made using Lightwave.
