I was telling someone about my new endeavors in fractals, and was asked about 3D fractals, is there such a thing?

Yes. Try Xenodream, for example.

and fractal images can be made into mesh and joined or booleaned into other mesh. Loads of fun.

Yup, not all fractals have to be flat.

Hmmm,I posted the wrong link. This is Lake Mandlebrot done in Bryce. Just used the image of the Mandlebrot fractal in the terrain editor.
