Try living in a town of roughly 15,000 people that has 96 Penticostal/Christian Denominational churches and one catholic :o) When people realise your not a christian, they tend to only be polite to when they are making money off of you. Some Wiccan friends of mine considered opening a Unitarian branch here but decided it would be unwise...freedom of religion really isn't an accepted idealism in small town, bible belt/midwest America. I am not intolerant of other faiths...in fact...I applaud those who have found some sort of path in their lives that helps become better, happier individuals. This can be faith, change of lifestyle, art...whatever. Its the prejudice that is unfortunately prevalent and seemingly ingrained in human nature that angers me. So...my general answer to anyone that bothers to take the time to try convert, pressure or change my views on 'faith' is 'I'm not going to change just to please you, Blessings to you and good day.' We could discuss this until the end of time...its an ugly truth of the world that not going to change anytime soon unless society as a whole shifts radically in its fundamental structure...its just the way of the world I guess.
