In reference to my above post in this thread, i recieved a personal nastygram from someone who thought I was NOT "humorous". As I pointed out to him, I was raised a southern babtist, and my family tree originates from the south. Am I offended by others views? No. Do I have a quirk that would make me feel an urge to argue a view and/or e-mail someone personally about it to repremand them or just let them know how I feel? Absolutley not. I challenge the e-mailer to take a look at himself and ask who he thinks he really is to feel he has some kind of influence, power, authority, or whatever, to repremand me for my humor. If this is his biggest concern, that my above post is NOT funny, and he wanted me to surely know it, than his issues run much deeper. As far as I'm concerned, the only to "offensive" elements that should be claimed as being "offensive" with any validity, are racism and sexism. All the others are mere bandwagon -I-have-to-be-a-follower- garbage, and hold no ground anywhere, and I suspect the folks claiming to be offended are really not, but it just sounds cool to make an issue (again, with the exception of race or sex). I cannot believe that this e-mailer's attempt to repremand my humor feels the need or even takes the time to do so. I do NOT apologise for the above post, and DO NOT CARE if anyone claims to find it OFFENSIVE. It's not, and It's FUNNY. That has been portrayed in many comedy movies, T.V. sitcoms, cartoons like southpark, etc., and I get a kick out of everytime. I'm quite sure he has not written all the successful producers of those shows to repremand them too. I hardley ever respond to a thread here, but have been a member since 2000 before changing my login in 2001 as I moved. If this e-mail was made by a board admisistrator, then I wont bother to ever post a response again. If it was made by a whiner claiming to be offended, here's something well all need to consider: 1. I will not conform to being a "stiff" and not be homorous just because you're not. 2. Although I might take a differnt stance on the issues and topics of this thread, I will NOT repremand the others for it, or personally e-mail them about it, or even try to "convert" anyone. 3. In reading the posts here, the writers of the topics seem to be INTELLIGENT free thinking individuals, which I am confident will agree with ME on this. 4. Lastly, a multi-millionair friend/mentor (who has prooved I should listen to what he has to say about life) once told me: " If you're concerned what others may think, or do think, then you need to GET OVER YOURSELF!
