I suspect that the partnering with Mr. Cooper and Mr. Weinberg means that they can continue to work on P5, but at a cost that EGIsys will find much more manageable. "The engineers are working on SR3. Really..." This is the single most important piece of information that should have been in that press release. Even if there isn't a projected release date (although that question will come up). "There is a minutes silence in remembrance of Curious Labs." The melodrama is unnecessary. The wheel of fortune often spins round and round.
