First thing, make sure you have "blend transparency" checked in the drop down menu in the materials editor... that's the thing I always forget. we covered transparency maps in Bryce a few posts back... Look at the posts for Kyoko hair and I know there are others before that. Look at those and see if they help. If not, ask and people will be happy to try and explain further. Don't give up hope!
