Hmmm I would recomend you at least get a med rez skin or better yet the high rez and use it to make some med and low rez sets with your photo program by scaling the sizes back to ruffly 2000 x 2000 and a 1000 x 1000 . One of the reasons is though the texture converter is good it kind of needs a bit of adjusting you might say and the daz sets will help to with exact placement not to mention parts you can use to fix bad spots in the conversions.
You can re-map V3 to take all V2 textures. You need UV-mapper from www.uvmapper.com (free version is all you need) and a UV-file that you can download from DAZ. DAZ also has instructions on how to do this here: http://arcana.daz3d.com/daztech/index.php?id=24 You will end up with a new cr2 that loads V3 but with the V2 UV-mapping. You can then apply any of your favourite V2 textures.
I've not been impressed with Daz textures in the past but that is not true ofthe V3 textures. I recommend the hi res, with at least the first makeup pak. They are versatile, don't get in the way of whatever morph you are using and are absolutely beautiful. I've never used a Daz texture in the past for more than one or two renders but I use these as my Main Vicki 3 textures, and with few exceptions-- Ryn at PoserPros by Cin, and Beach Baby at Rdna-- I think nothing else comes close to touching their photorealism plus versatility. They seem close to the omnitexture. For all purposes. Emily
LOL, Patricia, good point. In fact there are two different UV-files from DAZ, one keeps the V3 material groups intact, the other one doesn't. Maybe that is the background to their choice of words. Furthermore, there are a few other versions of the files out there. I used one by Netherworks, that is supposed to be an enhancement of the DAZ file. I don't remember right now where I found it though...

Planning to purchase V3. I have some very good V2 textures, and am thinking of just getting the v2-v3 texture converter instead of buying the DAZ textures. Hate to say it, but the textures I've bought from DAZ in the past don't hold a candle to what Stefyzz and others produce. Thoughts/recomendations appreciated. John
