If you can, get Don Seegmiller's book from Amazon. He covers post-work computer graphics techniques clearly and with lots of examples, all of which are included on the enclosed CD, so you can follow along and learn. Although mostly oriented for Painter, the techniques are adaptable to Photoshop.

Also recommended are other generice painting books meant for real-world (not computer) painting. The basic ideas are the same, only the tools used are different.
