If you have Vue 4.12, this DOES work without problem. It was a problem in Vue 4.06 and older only. Try to download once more the 4.12 full update from e-onsoftware and install it. About the reflection maps: Vue don't need it, because it creates REAL reflecting material. Just select one from metals.
