Well, well. Thanks for all the interesting replies, and especially the great images. Where do I start...? First of all, just to set the record straight, I wasn't really grumbling about cute. It's not my thing, but I certainly wouldn't want to ban it or bad-mouth it. As someone pointed out, it's easy to avoid the 'cute alerts' on posts. I actually think it's a healthy sign in a way, and no doubt, partly powered by DAZ and their offerings. I love sci-fi, but if I never see another spaceship in a poser render, it'll be too soon. And I won't even mention vicki and temples in the same sentence. Oops... I did it. LOL. Secondly, although I'm not a 'cute' person, some of my favorite books include my very old and battered copies of (all) the Winnie-the-pooh books, by AA Milne, Wind in the Willows, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-glass, The Little Prince, and others that I can't recall at the moment. I guess these would all fall under the 'cute' banner, apart from being great reading. I, personally, don't make renders in poser. I'm a fashion photographer, so that's a good enough outlet for whatever creativity I can manage to dig up. I spend my time making models for poser, but if I had to make renders, I'd probably like to try something very stylized, like cell-shading or maybe a poser version of black & white portraiture. And probably female-oriented, because that's just me. Adoration of the female form and all that crap. Well, it's good to get a discussion going and get a few points of view. There's room for everyone here. So long live cuteness for now. Until the next new fad comes alomg anyway. Heh, heh... mac
