You may find my tutorial of benefit, many have. It covers the full process of creating Poser figures in detail.

If you use an existing CR2 file you need to load it into the scene then open the joint editor and click on the zero button. The BODY and hip translations should already be at zero but its worth a double check. The next stage is often over looked and may be the cause of your problem. Existing CR2 files often contain preset joint angles and it is these that may be throwing the model out. Having zeroed the model these can now be removed by going to Edit/Memorize/Figure. Save the model back to the library.

If that was the problem this will be the solution.
