I feel sorry for the poor soul whose ego and artistic impulse depends on the approval of a crowd. Yes, we do graphics to be seen...but do you really think landscapes will ever get as many hits as naked women laying about in ridiculous poses in absurd non-clothing? With very few exceptions, no. And do I want the audience that sits with sweaty hands looking for the latest body parts thrusting into their screen? Absolutely not...I want them to freely go elsewhere for their satisfaction. So you can create the pop art of the galleries and get mega hits. Or forget about trying to get mass approval and just do your own think and quit counting views. The view count is not meaningful. The way not to get buried is to do some promotion and marketing. You all expect the galleries to do your work for you. Sorry, it doesn't work like that in any world, even the virtual one. And, no, I don't get a lot of views. But I know why. And I'm fine with that. If you're unhappy with your views, don't blame it on the uploads to the gallery. That's not where the problem is, if indeed a problem exists (which I don't think it necessarily is...the fancy that a landscape will get millions of hits if it is the only thing posted in the gallery is an optimistic delusion).
