Still kinda scary.

Hey that's pretty close to the fossil except the animal was more slender and had tail feathers that were as long as the tail itself (8 inches). Don't forget the other animal they showcased , the Allosaurus sized animal with long forearms and a beak (no feathers).

The penquin is coated with a layer of very fine feathers as well. I doubt the raptor had large wing feathers like this though.

That's a very cool texture around the head and eyes, though....is it from a macaw?

I dunno, my aunt had a Mynah bird that looked just like that...(and was probably just as mean) Scarab <-never went near the cage again after that one time...

Just asking--how will this affect Disney's Dinosaur movie--the textures looked wonderful in the Newsweek article (well, not the movie but the perception of how the raptors looked). However, I'm not up on which is which (I'm more interested in human evolution and the recent finds there) so don't know how correct the textures are. This new find about the raptors is pretty interesting, though isn't it? I agree--this one is still 'scary' LOL. DB

After the first Jurassic Park movie I found myself watching our parrot alot closer. The dinos never really disappeared, and now they can talk ;-) -JH.
