Never used firewire, so I can't say I know anything about the bus rate (is it faster than gigabit ethernet?) or availability. Considering the heavy use of Firewire on Macs, though, I bet there's support for firewire out there someplace, with OSX being the current Mac OS. Take a look at gigabit networking stuff. It's been around for years, but the stuff is just now reaching affordability. When I was looking at buying a Mac, I noticed that most of the Pro end systems came preinstalled with gigabit cards. Again, I suspect there is good support for it in the 'IX world. RdaiositySG, I'll check that out. I get their newsletter every once in a while, after trying to get a trial download, but at the time, they only offered the older version for download....sounds like they have changed things around a bit....going their now! eric
