This is what I'd do.......might not be the best way. Load the object you wish to make conforming, then go to the setup room. In the setup room, load the bones of the character you wish it to conform to. With the grouping tool, assign all the polygons to the hip. Exit the setup room and save your figure. you're probobly wondering why I say to assign the whole thing to the hip.... Something you could try that might be simpler.... Load your figure, then the prop. Change the prop's parent to the hip, then set it to 'inherit bends of parent'. Try it and see if the results are acceptable.
