Eelie, I'm with you, I like Spam on sliced white bread, lightly cooked (well, every once in a good while anyway). Spam was a major food for the U.S. army during WWll and became fairly popular around the world then. But I didn't know that Spam was derived from "SP"iced h"AM". It tastes pretty good to me but is chuck full of saturated fat and salt among other things.
