I made a wood texture in photoshop which i used on the "tabletop" - it showed up better in Max Quality, but I think it's ok. What do you think ?

Also can you see the floor texture (done in Iris) without adjusting your monitor? I think the contrast and brightness might be set too low on my monitor so any input there would be appreciated.

Table top texture looks great, maybe a bit to much reflection but other than that excellent texture. Floor texture looks rather dark on my monitor, not exactly sure what you mean by Iris (is that a color or an app that you used to generate the texture)I cant really see a texture just a black floor. Then again my monitor settings may be off also.

Yep, a little too dark. I like the table texture.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

croowe, That's the last time I use pledge - Iris is an application that makes textures similar to the one I made in photoshop - not as detailed but tileable. I think there's a link to it on one of the recent threads in this forum. If you can't find it by tommorrow let me know and I'll try to find the link to it. The reason I asked was that I was looking at a short tutorial where one of the pictures looked black to me. When I printed out the picture it looked normal. I then noticed seeing the same thing in other photoshop tutorials so I thought I'd ask. - TJ

tjohn, Ok I upped the contrast and brightness ten points(10/256) each. I can now just see a dark redish brown on the floor and the candlelight still falls off before the end of the tabletop. I think that may be right. thanks, - TJ

bit dark for me here at work, will review also at home, (better setup) table top wood looks an excellent finish.

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

The tabletop looks great. The floor is something like reddish bird maple, but too indistinct to comment. I think I posted the link to a page with free programs in the Bryce Related Links. There's a link to Iris on that page.

Looks good but deffinatly needs to be better quality to make a better judgement....

I can't say really much about the texture quality. The image is too dark to seem them properly. So I think you indeed need to lighten the image up.
