...I can say with gladness that once you know where the tools are lurking, you can take almost any P-shop tute and adapt it to GIMP (I did just that with Adurino's 'Perfect-G!' texturing tutorial... and that tute is almost purely Photoshop-based.) Seriously - as long as it doesn't involve real freaky crap like tubes, you're all set :) /P
