I've only done some simple animation, but have not had a problem with it. Well I guess once, but that was before 2.1. And it wasn't really a poser issue. I ran out of memory by trying to make it very high rez. I may be able to render it now, but it's not really worth it anyway. And for the record, I love P5 as well
