MAybe something to give the right sense of scale. Are the spiders really big or are they small but in the forground? At the moment that is now very clear to see. You could also make a bigger difference between light and shadow. And maybe the meteorite needs to be a bit brighter and firey or glowy.

I see what you mean it never hit me,that you couldn't or wouldn't be able to tell that the spiders are giant size. With the fog affect, how can I do the light and shadows? Also the crystal emits light as well as the sky, I guess that kinda cancles out the shadows almost completely, maybe I could lower the amount of light emitted from the crystal. Also I will work on the Meteorite. Thanks for your oppinion.

I like the meteor thru the hole in the mountain, but agree that it should be more fiery. Daytime meteors are a sight to behold and I have only seen one on one occasion. Unfortunately it was not as spectacular as the one depicted here. For some reason the spiders look mighty happy to me. Keep up the good work.

You could also negative boolean a rock instead of a cylinder with your mountain to give the hole a more jagged look if you wanted to.

There are several ways to make shadows darker. The most common way is to lower the textures ambience. Ambience makes a model look flat anyway, so you don't need too much of it anyway. The second way is to darken the sky's ambient color. The ambient light of the whole scene get's affected by the sky's ambient light. The third way is to use negative lights.

spiders have an xtra joint in their legs, first the legs go up then down after the first joint..... they also have no head to speak of, just eight eyes(2 main ones, then 2 smaller ones on top of those, oddly enuff, and a bunch beside them) on the abdomen.

ok, another few joints.. and they definetly have eight legs. this is similar to the tarantula i owned for a couple of years. they're the same as spiders for the most part, except bigger(and therefore easier to see)

You had a Tarantula! Cool. Realy nice one too. How do you keep tarantula's? (what and how much do they eat, where do you get the 'spiderfood' etc.)

lol, keeping tarantula's are very ez, keep them in a fish tank w/ a small ceramic pot cracked in half and the edges buried beneath sand(easily obtained at your local beach or fish store). Feed them 5 crickets a week. crickets usually cost between 7 and 14 each. clean their tanks once a month or so. I had a chilean rose tarantula, which are the most docile(supposedly u hav a better chance of getting hit by a freight train then being bitten by one of those). they look like the one above, except a little less hair.

Cool. Now to get my parents to allow a tarantula in the house.

heheh, don't tell them that mine escaped twice. the first time it lifted the lid of the cage, then the second time, after i got a new cage w/ higher roof, i didn't realise that they hav sticky pads just after moulting, so it just climbed out.... i made myself a lid after that
