It may as well be said that photography isn't art, according to some people's definition of what makes an artist, or how art is created. IMO, any medium, from scrawling on a cave wall with a burnt stick, to tweaking dials in software, (or maybe in the future, directly driven by biofeedback/brainboard devices) is capable of producing art.
