You can do whatever you want with them. You can export to 3DS Max, Maya, Lightwave, Vue d'Esprit, Bryce, whatever. You can make "movies" or animations directly in Poser, or export to your application of choice, and animate there. You may chose, for example, use your Poser figure in 3DS Max, rig the character there, build your scene there, and export your files from there into yet another application like MotionBuilder for animating purposes, and then when done with that, export your animation again, import back into 3DS Max for rendering.
