Today I lost a friend....we grew up together, I was a mere child of 18 and he was a 4 week old jail kitten....but at the age of 16 the health problems became too much for him. He's gone to a place where he won't be in pain any more. I'll miss him. PS Misha, thank you so much for the shoulder.... PJ and I both appreciated your caring and friendship.

I am, therefore I create.......

Michelle, He is a good buddy. He stayed with you for 16 years. My "old Man is 12 now and I check on him every so often because he sleeps so still. Makes me worry often. He has gone to a field in the sky A place where butter fly's land on his nose A place where he is a kitten again chasing little pieces of dust He is in a field with many many friends Rolling and tumbling and chasing yarn The field is protected by a stream There is but one bridge over that stream Someday you will come to that bridge He will hear your first footstep upon it with your second step his ears will perk up by the third he will know its you By the time you cross the bridge he will be running On your first step into the field he will jump into your arms He will purr and you will smile For two friends will be together again Forever Hang in there, Magick Michael

Losing someone that has been around for such a long period of time is indeed a tuff thing. Sorry for your loss.

That's really sad Michele.....feeling really sorry for you! Am amazed that you managed to make such an amazingly beautiful shot at a time like that....great memory.

Thank you guys....your words mean alot..... @Rork...no this shot was taken last year when he was still in reasonably decent shape.... My poor little guy aged badly and was in somewhat poor health for a few years with a thyroid condition but he suddenly developed kidney failure, and he declined so rapidly within the last couple of months....it was a sad thing to see. :~(

'Chelle, you know how I really feel for cats deep down, despite what I say about the pictures. I'm really sorry for your loss - a friend is a friend, whether they can speak or not. Just because they're not human doesn't make them any less of a comfort or joy to have around. Thoughts are with ya, hon - like Bri says, the good times are there for a reason, to be remembered and cherished. Mike.
