Just finished the first successfull model I ever created, done in Strata. I converted it to an OBP and it's on my site for download. Hope someone can use it. I also added a very simple pair of finctioning eyeglasses, the leather.mat I used on the chair and the raw flesh mat I used for the jar baby. The link should take you straight to the download page. I'd put em on free stuff, but my host refuses to allow direct linking.

Nice looking chair. I probably wouldn't have much use for it myself, but those eyeglasses you made are terrific!

I still seem to be having problems uploading to my site. so I may just grab another sever to host materials and stuff. Oh, I'm still a beginner in Strata, but at least I can halfway use it, whereas I can't figure out 3DS or Rhino at all. I'm hoping that as I get more used to Strata, it will help me learm 3DS, and other programs. The thing with Strata that I like is that it has the easiest interface I've found to modify, resize and move objects. I haven't done any complex stuff yet, but you know, you start at the beginning.

There seems to be alot there,The texture editors are a bit confusing, and I dont even wanna try the animation stuff yet. But as a fellow non-modeler,I agree about it being easyer than others I've tried. Hawkfyr

The problem is that all the best stuff, you have to pay for as addons. But if you go to the user's manual on line, and you look in the appendix, there's a table there that has all ninds of information about the numbers of various minerals and materials and stuff.

Yeah I only got it yesterday and I gotta take the time to check all the online documentation and stuff. Maybe we can learn it together. Hawkfyr

When you open it you get that web enabled deal on the right, where it has data. In there if you look around, it has a lkink to the online user's manual. Read that manual. It's VERY good. One of the best I've ever read. I wish they'd make it downloadable.
