the thing near her face is a diffuser for the recording. What it does is eliminate the "pop" vowels, like when using words that beging with P or B like Blimp or PooPoo. This means the singer doesn't have to sing at an angle everytime a pop vowel is about to be sung. to the right of that is the microphone itself. what makes this image is the hair above the ear flying in the "breeze"... was there really a breeze in the studio that powerful? Or was it a fan? Just curious.
